Revised Thumbnail Creator for the Revolution Pro Theme

Some people were experiencing problems with the original thumbnail generator. Automator is not exactly a robust piece of software making debugging not much fun.
I’ve broken the original application in three parts with a main workflow calling each one in turn. Although this is less elegant and a bit more complicated to install, it should be more reliable.

Thumbnail Creator for the Revolution Pro Theme

I’ve been unsuccessfully looking for a way to automate the creation of thumbnails for use in the home page of the Revolution Pro Media Theme. After trying dozens of shareware and freeware titles, each one with its own limitations, I’ve decided to write an Automator plugin to generate resized images that fit the slots in theme’s front page. The major problem with the lightweight shareware programs was either the lack of presets for specifying multiple dimensions for the icons, or the inconvenience of accessing those presets. A large program like Photoshop seemed an overkill for such a trivial and often repeated task.

Zenfolio Online Photo Sharing Review

Zenfolio is an online photo sharing service similar to Flickr, Smugmug, Fotki, Exposure Manager, and many others. What distinguishes it is the elegance of its interface, easy of use, and superb customer service. I’ve been using it for almost a year and thought it would be useful to share my experience with others. This is not intended to be an exhaustive review, nor a comparison with other services.
