Where to Find Free Images and Art Resources for Blogs?

May 1, 2008

Where does one find images that can be posted online without infringing copyright laws? That’s a common problem faced by bloggers, at least by the ones who don’t want a DMCA complaint filed against them.

With most of the online material belonging to someone and being posted by someone else, it’s easy to unknowingly become an accomplice to content theft. Somehow, it’s easier to tell when text is free for distribution. What about all the ubiquitous art and images with no obvious authorship or copyright notices? The download now consists of folder containing 4 mini workflows. Here’s how to get it working: [Read more]

WordPress 2.5 Released

March 29, 2008

wordpress25blog 2_bottomfeaturethumb.jpgAs it had been predicted, WordPress 2.5 has just been made available coinciding with WordCamp Dallas.
This blog is already running the new version and the upgrade was as painless as possible. It took less than 15 minutes, and that was mostly due to the slow uploading of files. Just make sure to check that all your plugins are up-to-date and that none of them conflicts with release 2.5. A good place to check for plugin compatibility is the Plugin Compatibility 2.5 list maintained by the WordPress community. Full directions to upgrade are listed in the Upgrading WordPress guide. [Read more]
