Apple Releases Aperture 2.0 Upgrade

aperture2.jpgApple has just released a major upgrade to its pro­fes­sional photo soft­ware, Aper­ture. The new ver­sion comes with more than 100 improve­ments cov­er­ing user inter­face, RAW image qual­ity, com­pare and select tools, image pro­cess­ing tools, photo man­age­ment, print and web pub­lish­ing, work­flow, and Apple­Script.

Among the mul­ti­ple changes, Aper­ture can now pub­lish to a .Mac Web Gallery, has dupli­cate detec­tion on imports, can inte­grate with Google maps using embed­ded GPS data, and much more. The full list of fea­tures can be found at Aper­ture 2.

The new ver­sion costs US$ 199 and it’s listed as ship­ping in 1-3 busi­ness days for the US store. An upgrade for cur­rent users costs US$99.
